Frequently asked questions.

General Physiotherapy Questions

  • At your first session, we’ll take time to understand your story — your goals, your challenges, and what you need to get back to doing. You’ll receive a thorough assessment, clear diagnosis, and an outline of your three‑phase care plan: Restore, Function, Perform. We’ll also show you the tools and techniques we use, so nothing feels rushed or unclear.

  • No referral is needed. You can book directly online or by calling our clinic. If you’re claiming through WorkCover, DVA, or an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan, we may request documentation from your GP

  • Initial assessment are 45-60 minutes, which allows your therapist to get to know you, understand your injury mechanism, gather historical injury/health information and conduct the necessary physical testing to establish a diagnosis to work from.

Standard appointments are 30–45 minutes, depending on the type of assessment and treatment required. Your physiotherapist will let you know if a longer session is needed (e.g., for running assessments or post‑surgical plans).

  • Many clients feel an improvement after their first few sessions — but lasting change comes from following your program through each stage. Goal setting is the cornerstone of everything we do. We will formulate measurable progress, so you’ll know when you’re ready to move from pain relief to performance.

  • We help with everything from sports injuries (like runner’s knee or shoulder pain) to pre and post‑surgical rehab, chronic pain, and preventative care for active adults and adolescents. Our expertise includes running and sport biomechanics, strength and balance training, and mobility support for over‑60s.

  • Yes — telehealth is ideal for follow‑up sessions, exercise progressions, and coaching. We use video consultations and digital programs to keep you on track wherever you are.

  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely (e.g., activewear or shorts for lower‑limb assessments). If you’re coming straight from work, don’t worry — we can adapt on the day.

  • We use clear milestones and data from strength or movement testing to show your improvement. You’ll know exactly when you’re ready to transition from Restore → Function → Perform.

  • Yes — we accept private health rebates on‑the‑spot via HICAPS and work with Medicare EPC plans, WorkCover, and DVA where applicable.

  • Our goal is long‑term resilience, not just short‑term fixes. We’ll equip you with personalised mobility routines, technique coaching, and load‑management strategies so you can keep performing at your best — and know when to check back in.
