Restore Group Classes
Physio-led small group rehabilitation.
RESTORE Group Classes at SANO Physio, Brisbane.
Rehabilitation that’s personal - even in a group.
RESTORE Group Classes are the first step on your SANO Rehabilitation journey. Designed for people in the early stages of recovery - post-surgical, managing persistent pain, rebuilding core stability or working on strength and balance.
This class model has been built by an APA Titled Sports & Exercise Physiotherapist and incorporates clinical structure with genuine individual attention. With only a small number of participants per session, our physiotherapists will actively monitor, coach and adjust your individual program throughout every 45-minute class.
Unlike gym-based exercise classes, every participant in a RESTORE Group Class at SANO has their own rehabilitation plan. The group format provides motivation and accountability, with the clinical oversight tailored to your needs.
What to Expect from a RESTORE class?
Expect to feel at ease. At SANO Physio, you’re in the safest hands.
Your Own Plan within a Shared Space
Every participant enters the class with an individual rehabilitation plan developed from their initial assessment. No generic group programs. Specific exercises based on your personal goals and your current ability.
Phase-Structured Progression
RESTORE classes follow a structured 6-week block model (Foundation, Load, Function) with progression determined by a clinical criteria, not the calendar. Your physiotherapist tracks your markers, reviewing your progress formally at the end of each block. Physiotherapy appointments may be blended with group classes to optimise your rehabilitation outcomes, especially for complex or post-surgical patients.
Technology-Enhanced Rehabilitation
We may integrate isometric strength testing using VALD Dynamo and Force Decks to objectively measure your progress and guide loading decisions. Exercise support via our Telehab prescription app supports accurate home-based rehabilitation between sessions.
Everything we do is guided by, and in partnership with, you!

FAQ’s
We’ve answered the most common questions below. If something isn’t covered, call the clinic directly
-
Every participant in a SANO Restore class has an individually assessed rehabilitation plan. You are not following a generic program. Your physiotherapist has designed your exercises specifically for you. The group is capped to ensure close clinical supervision throughout every session
-
No referral is required. You begin with a standard physiotherapy initial appointment, after which your physiotherapist will match you to the right RESTORE class pathway. If you have been referred by your GP or surgeon, bring any relevant letters, scans or reports to your first appointment.
-
This depends on your surgery type, your surgeon's protocol and your early recovery progress. For most orthopaedic procedures, group classes are appropriate from 2–6 weeks post-operatively, once initial wound healing is confirmed. We will liaise with your surgical team and assess your readiness at your initial appointment.
-
Most people complete one to three 6-week blocks in the RESTORE phase before transitioning to FUNCTION Group Classes. Progression is criteria-based — your physiotherapist reviews objective markers at the end of each block and determines readiness for the next phase based on clinical evidence, not a fixed timeline.
-
Yes — this is recommended. Your physiotherapy appointments and group classes are designed to complement each other. Your physio will continue to manage any hands-on treatment needs, complex clinical decisions and program adjustments alongside your group class attendance.
-
Yes. Your home exercise program is delivered through our TeleHab app, giving you a clear digital record of your exercises, sets, reps and technique guides. Home program compliance between sessions significantly improves your rehabilitation outcomes and the pace of your progression.
